My goal is to bring wild places into the homes and hearts of people.
I develop each painting in the spirit of what I believe about the source of my inspiration; the endless variety of nature. I want to capture the places that I think are special. I try to distill the details (especially the colors) that make it different from all others.

Almost every painting in the series has a body of water in it. That means constant change and an unknowable future to me. Nature's voice is near silent compared to our noisy world. I hope my paintings bring these quiet, wild places into the homes and hearts of people. Maybe they can share with me the places I saw with my own eyes and heart, and see what they look like when I put them together with my hands.
